Why we built this

Searching for the best of anything in Pakistan usually returns one of two things: a list assembled from whoever paid for the slot, or a page copied from another page copied from a third. Neither tells you how the order was decided, and neither tells you what was left out.

We wanted something different — lists where the criteria are stated up front, the sources are named at the bottom, and the reasoning is visible enough that you can disagree with it. If our weighting does not match your priorities, you should be able to see that and adjust, rather than take a number on trust.

What we publish

• Rankings — ordered lists built against published criteria, with the weighting shown.
• Comparisons — side-by-side breakdowns where the right answer depends on your situation.
• Buying and selection guides — what to check, what to ask, and what people commonly get wrong.
• City and travel guides — practical local recommendations with the details that actually matter.

We do not publish news, press releases, sponsored articles dressed as editorial, or user-submitted reviews.

How we research

Every list follows the same process: define the category boundary, shortlist candidates from public sources, gather verifiable evidence, score against criteria that were fixed before the research started, then order by weighted score. Each article carries its own summary of the criteria used, because what matters in a footwear ranking is not what matters in a home services ranking.

How we stay independent

Placement in a ranking cannot be purchased. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into what we cover or how entries are ordered, and they do not see an article before it is published. Rankings are finalised before any commercial relationship is considered at all.

The site is intended to be supported by affiliate commissions and clearly labelled advertising, both of which are explained in our affiliate disclosure and advertising policy.

What our rankings are not

A Topin.pk ranking is researched editorial opinion at a point in time. It is not a certification, an audit, or a guarantee of outcome, and it does not replace your own checks with the provider. Prices and availability in particular change faster than any publishing schedule — see our disclaimer.

When we get it wrong

We will, sometimes. When a factual error changes the meaning of an article we correct it and add a dated note saying what changed, rather than quietly editing it. If you spot something, tell us — our corrections policy explains what to include and how quickly we respond.
